Inter v Juventus | Expected Lineups

Serie A leaders Inter Milan welcome fierce rivals Juventus to San Siro for the 255th edition of the Derby d’Italia this Saturday, in a clash that could shape both the title race and the battle for Champions League qualification.

The Nerazzurri arrive in formidable form. Since their setback against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League last month, Inter have responded with five consecutive victories in all competitions.

Their most recent statement came in a commanding 5-0 triumph over Sassuolo, underlining their attacking sharpness and defensive authority.

Under the guidance of Cristian Chivu, Inter have extended their unbeaten league run to 12 matches and built an eight-point cushion at the top of the Serie A standings, although closest challengers AC Milan have a game in hand.

Inter’s consistency is reflected in their ability to strike first — they have opened the scoring in 20 league games this season, converting 18 of those into wins.

With 13 clean sheets and nine of their 12 home fixtures producing over 2.5 goals, they have blended defensive resilience with attacking flair.

Juventus Seek Revival in High-Stakes Showdown

Juventus, meanwhile, approach the encounter with mixed momentum. A dramatic 2-2 draw against Lazio last weekend salvaged a point thanks to a late equaliser, but it extended a run of just one win in four matches.

Managed by Luciano Spalletti, the Bianconeri are level on points with Roma and only three behind Napoli, keeping the top-four race finely balanced.

However, Juventus’ away struggles against top-eight sides — three defeats from three — raise concerns. They have also failed to score in three of their last four away league fixtures and lost every away game this season after conceding first.

Still, history offers encouragement: having won the last two head-to-head meetings, Juventus could secure three consecutive Serie A victories in this fixture for the first time since 2012.

Individual brilliance may prove decisive. Federico Dimarco has been instrumental for Inter, contributing eight goals in his last four outings, while Kenan Yıldız boasts three goals in his previous three Derby clashes — including a brace in a thrilling 4-4 draw at San Siro. With pride and points on the line, another classic chapter awaits.
