Alessandro Del Piero was at the Santiago Bernabéu as a CBS correspondent to cover the Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Juventus.

The legendary former Juventus captain, who wore the black and white shirt from 1993 to 2012, witnessed a tense and tactical battle between two European giants.

After the final whistle, Del Piero shared his insights on the current state of his former club. He noted that Juventus are in a rebuilding phase and struggling to rediscover their trademark identity.

According to him, the team needs greater confidence, creativity, and leadership to compete with Europe’s elite.

Del Piero’s analysis

“Juve are searching for something, though it’s still unclear exactly what. There have been many changes — we all know what happened at the end of last season and over the summer”

“Honestly, Tudor wasn’t the first choice, and everyone knows that. New players have come in, and the team was coming from a disastrous situation, both on and off the pitch”.

“There’s always something not quite right at Juve. Tudor is doing his best, but he still hasn’t found a settled starting eleven. He has plenty of options and is trying to get everyone involved, but the team still lacks a clear identity — and that’s what Juve are missing right now”, ended Del Piero for CBS.
