Cristiano Giuntoli was in London to unblock negotiations with the defenders of Newcastle and the Blues according to Fabiana Della Valle from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Negotiations are also ongoing with Chelsea for the Portuguese player. During which the name of Douglas Luiz has come up. The English club is interested in a loan, while Giuntoli aims to generate revenue.

“I believe everything will be sorted out soon,” Giuntoli stated. “They are finalizing the last documents, and we should have it wrapped up by tomorrow at the latest.”

Regarding potential departures for Vlahovic and Douglas Luiz, he added : “We do not want to focus on outgoing transfers but rather aim to enhance the squad. For defense, we will target young players who can provide significant support. We have embarked on a journey, bringing in many new players, and we are confident in becoming competitive again shortly.”

Only the final details are pending for Danilo’s contract resolution. The former captain, who has drawn interest from Napoli, has made his choice regarding his next destination.
