Argentinian striker concrete option for Juventus

Juventus remain active on the transfer market as they continue to explore opportunities to strengthen their attacking department ahead of the upcoming season.

According to La Stampa, one of the profiles being closely monitored by the Bianconeri is Thiago Almada, the Argentine playmaker currently on the books at Atlético Madrid.

The player is reportedly open to a change of environment, with a loan move seen as a concrete option to relaunch his career at the highest level.

Almada searching for a fresh start

Almada arrived in Spain last summer after Atlético Madrid invested over €20 million to sign him from Botafogo, following his standout performances in South America and with the Argentine national setup.

However, his experience under Diego Simeone has not gone as expected. Despite his undeniable technical quality, creativity, and versatility in attacking roles, the 23-year-old has struggled to secure a consistent place in Atlético’s tactical system.

Limited minutes and stiff competition have prevented him from becoming a key figure, pushing both the player and the club to reflect on possible solutions.

In this context, a temporary move could represent the ideal compromise. A loan would allow Almada to gain regular playing time in a competitive environment while Atlético retain control over a player they still consider a long-term asset.

Juventus are carefully following the situation, aware that such an opportunity could align perfectly with their needs.

Juventus and Atlético links could ease talks

Juventus’ interest is also fueled by the solid relationship between the two clubs. Recent dealings, including the operation involving Nico González, have strengthened mutual trust and could help smooth negotiations if discussions progress.

The Bianconeri see Almada as a profile capable of adding unpredictability, technique, and depth behind the main striker, qualities that have sometimes been lacking during the season.

As highlighted by La Stampa, no formal negotiations have started yet, but Juventus are attentive and ready to move should the conditions become favorable. Much will depend on Atlético Madrid’s openness to a loan formula and on Juventus’ broader transfer strategy.

For Almada, a move to Turin could represent a crucial step to rediscover confidence and continuity, while for Juventus it could be a calculated gamble with significant upside in their ongoing squad rebuild.
