Juventus have encountered yet another setback with the news that Lloyd Kelly will miss their crucial clash against Bologna next weekend.
The club issued an official update, confirming that the defender sustained a muscle injury in his right thigh during Sunday’s win over Monza.

This injury adds further problems for head coach Igor Tudor. Who is already dealing with a depleted defense following the injuries to Gleison Bremer and Federico Gatti.
The situation is especially tricky for the Croatian tactician, whose system heavily relies on a three-man defense. Now, he’s left with just two natural centre-backs. Renato Veiga and Pierre Kalulu available for selection.
Despite the shortage of defenders, early indications suggest Tudor plans to stick with his preferred formation rather than overhaul his setup. To plug the gaps, he is expected to turn to makeshift solutions.
There are two names to replace Lloyd Kelly
As reported by Il Bianconero, Tudor is considering two main alternatives: Nicolo Savona and Manuel Locatelli.
Savona, typically a right-back, has some experience playing in a back three during his time with Juventus Next Gen under Massimo Brambilla. This familiarity could ease his transition into the role. If Savona steps in, Kalulu might shift to the left side to allow Veiga to remain in the central role.

Alternatively, Locatelli, who has occasionally featured as a centre-back this season. Notably during the Champions League match against Benfica, could be asked to fill in again.
Should Locatelli be pulled into the backline, Douglas Luiz is likely to earn a starting spot in midfield. Alongside Khephren Thuram, marking his first start since recovering from injury.
Weston McKennie, another midfield option, is currently operating as a wingback, adding to Tudor’s tactical dilemma.
