Juventus have been advised to target a key Tottenham Hotspur defender Udogie as they look to enhance their chances of securing silverware next season.

In recent years, Spurs have enjoyed significant success in recruiting talent from Italian football, a trend largely credited to their former managing director of football, Fabio Paratici.

One of the standout acquisitions from Serie A has been Destiny Udogie, who made a strong impression in his debut season in North London following his 2023 transfer from Udinese.

However, the left-back has struggled to replicate that form this season, with injuries hampering his progress over the past year.

Juventus urged to make a move for Udogie

Some might argue that Udogie is not currently among Tottenham’s best starting options, especially given Djed Spence’s impressive performances in the left-back role this season.

Although there are no indications that Spurs are open to selling the 22-year-old this summer, journalist Maurizio Cardone has suggested that Juventus should consider testing their resolve. Cardone believes that adding top-tier Italian talent will be crucial for Juventus as they aim to reclaim domestic and European glory.

Speaking to Calciomercato, Cardone highlighted the importance of Juventus returning to their roots:

“I’ve emphasized this many times—historically, the most successful teams in Italy have always had a strong Italian core. Now is a great time to invest in top Italian talents. Udogie could be an option, but there are several names to consider. The real skill of a sporting director is identifying talent before it fully blossoms, and that’s the key.”

Spurs unlikely to entertain Udogie offers

Despite Udogie’s inconsistent form this season, his natural ability remains undisputed. Ange Postecoglou is unlikely to sanction his departure, particularly given his emphasis on maintaining squad depth.

The Tottenham boss has repeatedly stressed the importance of competition within the team, making it unlikely that Spurs would part ways with the talented full-back anytime soon.
