According to a recent report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Newcastle United’s pursuit of Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović is heating up as Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe enter the race.
With just one year remaining on his current contract, Juventus may be forced to sell the Serbian international this summer to avoid losing him for free in 2026.
Vlahović, 25, delivered a solid campaign with Juventus last season, scoring 15 goals and providing 5 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

As the focal point of the Bianconeri attack, he showcased his potential to be a top-tier striker, although some areas of his game still require development.
In Serie A, Vlahović averaged 3.68 shots per 90 minutes, demonstrating a strong desire to get into scoring positions. However, with only 34.2% of his shots hitting the target, there’s clear room for improvement in his finishing efficiency.
His passing, with a completion rate of 69.1%, also suggests that his link-up play could use refinement if he’s to thrive in a system like Eddie Howe’s at Newcastle.
A risk worth taking for the Magpies?
Vlahović’s profile fits the mould of a Premier League striker: tall, strong, and capable of handling physical duels. Standing at 1.90 meters, he can hold up play, win aerial battles, and be a threat from set pieces. His ability to dribble and create occasional chances for his teammates adds value beyond just goalscoring.

While his inconsistency in front of goal and passing limitations raise valid concerns, Vlahović still possesses high potential. At 25, he is entering his prime and has ample time to refine his game.
His experience at a top club like Juventus and in international competitions makes him an appealing option for Newcastle, especially at a reduced price due to his contract situation.
If he adapts to English football, Vlahović could prove to be a key addition, potentially helping Newcastle compete for European qualification and add depth to their attacking lineup.
