Juventus are entering a decisive phase of the season, determined to strengthen their position in the upper reaches of the Serie A table while continuing their journey in the UEFA Champions League.

With a crucial playoff tie looming next week, the Bianconeri are fully aware that consistency and defensive solidity will be vital in shaping the outcome of their campaign.

At the heart of this project is Luciano Spalletti, who has instilled renewed competitive resilience within the squad.

However, while results on the pitch remain a priority, the club’s hierarchy is already laying the groundwork for the future — particularly when it comes to reinforcing the defensive department.

Defensive Reinforcements a Summer Priority

Juventus are preparing to make strategic moves in the upcoming summer transfer window, especially amid growing uncertainty surrounding the futures of Gleison Bremer and Federico Gatti.

With questions lingering over their long-term roles, the Turin giants are evaluating profiles capable of delivering reliability, leadership, and tactical flexibility at the back.

According to Calciomercato, one of the leading names under serious consideration is Marcos Senesi.

The 28-year-old Argentine defender, currently at AFC Bournemouth, could become available on a free transfer should he fail to renew his contract.

His experience, composure in possession, and ability to operate in different defensive setups make him an attractive opportunity for Juventus.

Lucumí Also on the Radar

Another profile appreciated by the Bianconeri is Jhon Lucumí, the 27-year-old centre-back currently playing for Bologna FC 1909.

Lucumí has impressed in Serie A with his physical presence and defensive awareness, fitting the roadmap Juventus are designing for the next phase of their project.

As the season unfolds on both domestic and European fronts, Juventus are balancing short-term ambitions with long-term planning.

Strengthening the defensive core appears to be a cornerstone of that strategy, ensuring the club remains competitive at the highest level in the years to come.
