To take stock of Sassuolo’s recent transfer market activity, the specialized outlet SassuoloNews interviewed CEO Giovanni Carnevali, who addressed several rumors that have circulated in recent days.

Among the most discussed topics was the arrival of Pedro Felipe from Juventus, a move that some interpreted as an early step toward Muharemovic’s potential return to the Bianconeri next summer. Carnevali firmly dismissed this theory, offering clarity on Sassuolo’s intentions and long-term strategy.

Clarifying the Juventus Connection
Speaking to TMW, Carnevali was direct in shutting down speculation:

“No, absolutely not,” he said when asked whether Pedro Felipe’s signing was linked to Muharemovic’s future.

However, he used the opportunity to highlight the strong relationships Sassuolo has built with top clubs in Italy. According to the CEO, collaborations with elite teams like Juventus are a testament to the club’s credibility and vision.

Carnevali explained that Muharemovic’s development is the result of the past two years spent growing within Sassuolo’s environment. Unsurprisingly, his progress has attracted attention.

“There’s no point in hiding it,” Carnevali admitted, noting that the player has already drawn interest from several major clubs. Still, any future decision will be made with careful consideration of both sporting and developmental factors.

A Clear Strategy Focused on Youth

The Sassuolo CEO also emphasized that investing in young talent is not a coincidence but a deliberate and ongoing strategy. The decision to bring in another young player like Pedro Felipe stems from a deep understanding of the squad’s needs.

“We know his qualities, his characteristics, and the role that may currently be missing in our team,” Carnevali explained.

He added that while some opportunities arise naturally in the market, others are actively pursued by the club’s management. This proactive approach allows Sassuolo to remain competitive while staying true to its identity.

Collaborations with clubs such as Juventus are part of this broader vision, creating a mutually beneficial system where young players can develop, gain experience, and increase their value.

Ultimately, Sassuolo’s transfer strategy reflects a balance between ambition and sustainability, reinforcing the club’s reputation as one of Italy’s most respected environments for nurturing emerging talent.
