Manuel Locatelli is once again at the center of international transfer speculation, with strong signals coming from England linking the Juventus midfielder to Manchester United.

According to reports circulating in the British media, the Red Devils are actively searching for a new midfield anchor ahead of next season, especially with Casemiro widely expected to leave the club at the end of the campaign.

In this context, Locatelli has emerged as one of the main targets on United’s shortlist. Sources close to the situation suggest that Manchester United have already made initial contact with the player’s representatives to assess the feasibility of a potential summer move.

This is not the first time the English giants have shown interest in the Italian international. Back in 2021, following Italy’s triumphant European Championship—where Locatelli played a key role—United closely monitored his development before ultimately missing out on his signature.

Juventus’ Investment and Locatelli’s Growth

That summer, Juventus moved decisively to secure Locatelli from Sassuolo, completing the deal through a two-year loan with an obligation to buy. The total cost of the operation reached €25 million, with an additional €12.5 million in performance-related bonuses.

The club’s belief in the midfielder was further underlined in November 2023, when Locatelli signed a contract extension that ties him to the Bianconeri until June 2028.

Since then, his importance within the squad has only grown. Under the guidance of head coach Luciano Spalletti, Locatelli has developed into a true cornerstone of Juventus’ midfield, combining tactical intelligence, leadership, and consistency.

He is now considered one of the team’s technical and emotional leaders, trusted to dictate the rhythm of play and provide balance in both defensive and offensive phases.

Elite Numbers and Rising Market Value

Locatelli’s excellent form this season is not just evident on the pitch but also reflected in the data. According to Italian reports, he is one of only four midfielders across Europe’s top five leagues to log at least 900 minutes while maintaining elite statistical benchmarks.

He averages more than 75 passes per 90 minutes with over 85% accuracy, wins more than 60% of his duels, and records over three interceptions per game.

These performances inevitably fuel transfer interest, but Juventus remain determined to build around Locatelli. Any potential move would require a significant offer, reflecting both his current impact and long-term value.
