Slot has so far added only Federico Chiesa from Juventus, using the current campaign to closely assess the players at his disposal. Now, with the summer transfer window approaching, Liverpool are poised to strengthen key areas of the squad.

After Cityzens, also the Read are interested for Andrea Cambiaso

According to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Liverpool are ready to challenge Manchester City in a bid for Cambiaso’s signature.

Juventus value the 25-year-old fullback at around €60 million. However, going up against City’s financial muscle could prove a major hurdle for the Reds.

Cambiaso, who can operate on either side of the defense or even centrally, offers the kind of tactical flexibility that Slot desires in his fullbacks. Although predominantly left-footed, the Italian is comfortable with both feet, enhancing his versatility on the pitch.
