His journey at the highest level began inside the youth academy of Juventus. Before becoming one of the brightest Italian talents abroad, Micheal Kayode was released by the Bianconeri and forced to rebuild his career from scratch in Serie D with Gozzano.
That setback became the turning point of his rise. After impressing in the lower divisions, Kayode earned a move to Fiorentina, where he made his debut both in Serie A and European competitions.

Now the Italian full-back is enjoying a breakthrough season in the Premier League with Brentford, establishing himself as one of the league’s most exciting revelations.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are once again keeping a close eye on him ahead of the summer transfer window.
Speaking to the Turin-based newspaper, Kayode described his experience in England with great enthusiasm:
“The Premier League is the Disneyland of world football. Everything here is perfect and I’m truly happy. In terms of facilities, quality of football and players, there is no more competitive league.”
“It’s an honour to be the Italian player with the most appearances in the Premier League this season. Brentford have an exceptional project and I hope we can qualify for Europe in these final matches.”
Italy Dream and Juventus Interest on Kayode
Kayode also spoke about his ambition to represent Italy national football team at senior level. Despite being eligible to play for Nigeria, the defender made his intentions clear.
“Why haven’t I debuted for Italy yet? I’m still young, and I know that only through hard work can I achieve this dream. It’s true that I could also play for Nigeria, but Italy will always be my priority. I grew up wearing the Azzurri shirt at youth level and I hope to fulfil this dream as soon as possible.”
The Brentford defender then addressed the possibility of a future return to Juventus.

“I have no regrets about my time there, even if they released me. I enjoyed every year at Vinovo and learned so much until I was 14. Of course it was a huge disappointment to be let go, but I always found a way to get back up.”
“Right now I’m not thinking about returning to Italy. My focus is only on improving, performing well for Brentford and continuing to grow here. Naturally, interest from Juventus or any top club is always pleasing, but I’m fully concentrated on finishing the season strongly.”
