According to transfer expert Nico Schira, Nottingham Forest have turned their attention to Juventus’ young right-back Nicolò Savona.
The English club, in search of a new full-back to strengthen Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad, has identified the 21-year-old as a prime target after failing to secure their first-choice option.

Initially, Forest pursued Nahuel Molina from Atlético Madrid. Juventus were also keen on the Argentine and even explored a potential swap deal involving Nico González. But Atlético boss Diego “Cholo” Simeone was reluctant to part ways with his reliable defender.
Forest reportedly made a €25 million offer to the Spanish club, which was turned down. With the Molina move stalled, the English side has now shifted focus to Savona, who emerged from Juventus’ youth system and has shown promise as a modern, versatile right-back.

Juventus rejected an opening bid of €12 million but are asking for around €20 million. Forest are expected to return with an improved offer in the region of €14–15 million, plus a 10% sell-on clause for future transfers. Whether that will be enough to convince the Turin club remains to be seen.
Possible domino effect in the transfer market
Selling Savona would leave a gap in Juventus’ defensive rotation. This could revive their interest in Arnau Martinez of Girona, a player scouted repeatedly by the club in recent months.

With a reasonable price tag of around €12 million, Martinez could represent an affordable but high-upside reinforcement for the Bianconeri.
Another name in Juventus’ sights is Alexis Saelemaekers, currently shining at Bologna after solid seasons at Roma and Milan. The Belgian winger, admired by coach Igor Tudor, is at the peak of his career and could add depth and creativity to Juventus’ flanks.

However, AC Milan, his parent club, is considering extending his contract until beyond 2027. A potential twist could come if Juventus include Dusan Vlahovic in a complex swap deal, a move that might tempt Milan, as manager Max Allegri has been vocal about wanting the Serbian striker.
This evolving situation could trigger a chain reaction in the transfer market, with Nottingham Forest’s first move possibly setting off a series of deals involving several clubs across Europe.
One thing is clear: Savona’s future could define not only Forest’s defensive lineup but also Juventus’ transfer strategy for the rest of the window. And as Nico Schira notes, this story is only just beginning.
