Juventus wants Ipswich striker

Juventus have been put on high alert following Ipswich Town’s relegation from the Premier League, with Liam Delap now available at a reduced fee.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Ipswich’s drop back to the Championship has triggered a release clause in Delap’s contract. And making him attainable for just £30 million.

In today’s inflated transfer market, that figure represents excellent value. But Juventus are set for a fierce battle to land the talented forward. Several Premier League clubs are also in the hunt for the Manchester City academy product. With Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly leading the race at the moment.

United, in particular, are desperate to reinforce their attack after underwhelming seasons from Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

Juventus need to define future of Vlahovic & Kolo Muani before decide moving for Liam Delap

Meanwhile, Juventus are determined to bolster their frontline. Especially with Dusan Vlahovic’s future at the club uncertain.

Delap has enjoyed an outstanding campaign, scoring 12 goals across 33 league outings under Kieran McKenna’s management.

Ipswich initially secured the young striker for €17.85 million in the summer of 2024. And now stand to make a healthy profit should he move on.

While Delap remains a priority, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is also exploring alternative options.

Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui has emerged as another potential signing, though prising him away would cost closer to €50 million.

Adding to the complexity, Juventus must soon decide on the futures of Vlahovic and Paris Saint-Germain loanee Randal Kolo Muani.

Despite a bright start to his spell in Turin, Kolo Muani’s form has dipped, making a permanent move to the Allianz Stadium increasingly unlikely.
