Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi could be heading for a fresh start in Italy as Juventus express growing interest. The 27-year-old French defender spent the latter half of last season on loan at Aston Villa but seems unlikely to stay at Villa Park permanently.

Disasi joined Unai Emery’s side in the winter window, aiming to rediscover form and game time. He made ten appearances for Villa but saw his involvement diminish toward the end of the campaign.

Notably, he did not feature in the team’s final four matches of the season. Despite Aston Villa actively searching for a central defender, they have not made significant efforts to retain Disasi.

Juventus contact Axel Disasi camp

According to Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale, Juventus have recently initiated fresh contact with Disasi’s representatives. The Serie A giants reportedly “appreciate” the defender’s qualities and have added him to their shortlist.

Other names on Juventus’ radar include Nayef Aguerd, Marcos Senesi, and Leonardo Balerdi, but Disasi has now emerged as a strong candidate.

Disasi remains under contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2029. However, his future at Stamford Bridge appears uncertain following his limited playing time and loan spell. The Blues are believed to value him at approximately €30 million, a figure that Juventus may be prepared to negotiate.

Disasi’s physical presence, experience in top-flight football, and defensive versatility make him an attractive option for Juventus. A move to Italy could offer the Frenchman a more stable role and a chance to rebuild his form ahead of future international opportunities.

Chelsea have yet to comment publicly on their plans for Disasi, and it remains unclear whether any Premier League clubs will make a late push for his signature. With Juventus already engaging his camp, the coming weeks could be decisive in determining where Disasi plays next season.
