Despite Olympique de Marseille having already rejected Juventus’ advances on several occasions, the Italian giants appear ready to reignite their pursuit of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

According to TuttoJuve, the Bianconeri have not abandoned their interest in the Danish midfielder and are considering a renewed attempt to bring him to Turin.

Only a few weeks ago, Marseille president Pablo Longoria left little room for interpretation when addressing the club’s stance on Højbjerg.

His words were firm and unequivocal, underlining that OM had no intention of weakening their squad by letting go of a key player.

The French club, at least publicly, has made it clear that the door is firmly shut. However, Juventus’ persistence suggests that the story is far from over.

Juventus Ready to Try Again

Following Marseille’s rejection of the initial proposal, Juventus are reportedly evaluating a second offer in the hope of changing the Ligue 1 side’s position.

As reported by TuttoJuve, the Old Lady’s strategy could involve applying pressure on multiple fronts, attempting to convince both the club and the player that a move to Serie A would be the right step forward.

Højbjerg’s profile continues to appeal strongly to Juventus, who are looking to reinforce their midfield with experience, leadership, and tactical discipline.

The Danish international is seen as a player capable of adding balance and personality to the squad, qualities that the club’s management values highly.

That said, the operation remains complicated. Højbjerg is reportedly settled in Marseille, where he feels comfortable both on and off the pitch.

Moreover, he has a significant personal objective on the horizon: preparing himself in the best possible way for the upcoming World Cup. This factor could make him reluctant to embrace a transfer that might disrupt his rhythm or stability at such a crucial stage of his career.

While Juventus’ determination should not be underestimated, Marseille’s firm stance and the player’s current satisfaction suggest that negotiations will be anything but straightforward.

As things stand, the saga remains open, with Juventus unwilling to give up and Marseille determined to stand their ground, as highlighted by TuttoJuve.
