Juventus are stepping up their search for a new option on the left flank, with Rayan Aït-Nouri emerging as a serious target in the final stages of the transfer window.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb (TMW), the Bianconeri have already made an initial approach to Manchester City, proposing a deal based on a loan with an option to buy.

The Turin club are looking to strengthen the position before the transfer window closes, with Luciano Spalletti keen to have a reliable alternative to Andrea Cambiaso.

The aim is not simply to add depth, but to give the Juventus coach greater freedom to manage his squad and use Cambiaso in different areas of the pitch.

Aït-Nouri has now entered the picture as a profile that could fit those requirements particularly well. The Algerian left-back offers attacking quality, pace and international experience, while his versatility would provide Spalletti with another tactical solution.

Juventus Present Initial Proposal

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Juventus have gone beyond a simple enquiry and have already presented Manchester City with a first proposal.

The idea is to bring Aït-Nouri to Turin on loan with a right to buy, allowing Juventus to spread the financial commitment rather than immediately investing heavily in a permanent transfer.

The formula would also fit the club’s approach during the final days of the market. After making significant investments in other areas of the squad, Juventus are looking for financially sustainable opportunities while still trying to give Spalletti a complete and competitive team.

Manchester City will now have to decide whether the proposal meets their expectations. The English club could potentially ask for a loan fee, a substantial purchase option or even an obligation to buy linked to certain conditions or appearances.

A Different Profile for Spalletti

Aït-Nouri would bring qualities that are somewhat different from those offered by Cambiaso.

While the Italian is particularly effective when moving inside and contributing to the build-up, Aït-Nouri is naturally inclined to attack from the outside, using his acceleration and dribbling ability to push forward and create situations in the final third.

The Algerian can operate as a traditional left-back in a four-man defence or as a wing-back in a more offensive system.

That versatility could be particularly valuable for Spalletti, who would gain the ability to change Juventus’ shape during games without necessarily making substitutions.

Most importantly, his arrival could allow Cambiaso to be used more freely. The Italian remains one of the most versatile players in the squad and could be deployed on the right, in a more central midfield role or further forward.

At present, however, the lack of a natural alternative on the left limits those possibilities. Aït-Nouri could solve that issue while simultaneously adding pace, attacking threat and tactical flexibility to the Juventus squad.

The operation is therefore one to watch closely as the transfer window approaches its final hours. Juventus have made their first move, and the next response will come from Manchester City.
