Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus FC sporting director, has confirmed that the club is in ongoing discussions with Paris Saint Germain regarding a potential long-term deal for Randal Kolo Muani.
The French forward, who has made a notable impact since his arrival, is a key part of Juventus’ plans for next season. Giuntoli also shed light on the recent signings of Lloyd Kelly and Renato Veiga, highlighting the rationale behind these acquisitions.
“We had to address several injury related gaps in our squad, which led us to strengthen our defense with three new players, and due to Milik’s injury, we also turned to Kolo Muani,” Giuntoli explained in an interview with Sky Sport Italia. “We’re hoping to deliver a strong performance and build on the momentum from recent results.”

Kolo Muani, who joined Juventus on loan from PSG, has made an immediate impact, scoring five goals in his first three Serie A matches.
Juventus FC is now considering options to either make his move permanent or extend the loan for next season. “We have a positive relationship with PSG, and when the transfer window closed, we already knew that Milik might not be available in time. This allowed us to act early, ensuring we were ahead of the competition and began discussions on how we could continue with Kolo Muani in the future,”Giuntoli noted.
“Cabal and Cambiaso were our only left-footed defenders, so we needed to add at least one more, ideally two. Both Kelly and Veiga bring versatility to the squad—Kelly can play both as a central defender and as a left-back, while Veiga can operate in midfield as well. We believed they were the right choices to strengthen the squad,”said Giuntoli.
Teun Koopmeiners, who was Juventus’ most expensive summer signing at over €50 million from Atalanta, has not started tonight’s match and remains on the bench. Giuntoli provided insight into his situation.

“Koopmeiners worked incredibly hard in the first half of the season, but he missed pre-season training with us and also dealt with an injury. He has been doing the hard work for the team, and although he hasn’t shown his best form recently, we’re confident it will come. He’s simply getting a rest, as he’s given so much to the team.”ended Giuntoli.
The match against PSV see Juventus field their youngest-ever starting XI in a Champions League knockout phase match, with the average age standing at 25 years and 172 days.
