Sky Sport transfer expert Luca Marchetti, speaking from the Sky studios, addressed several delicate contract situations at Juventus.

As reported by Tuttojuve, one of the main issues concerns Weston McKennie, whose contract renewal has yet to be finalized. According to Marchetti, an agreement has still not been reached, and current indications suggest that the American midfielder could move to the MLS at the end of his contract.

Since the MLS season begins in March, a January departure cannot be ruled out, a scenario that could create difficulties for Juventus given McKennie’s tactical versatility.

On a more positive note, talks with Kenan Yildiz are progressing well. Although his contract is not close to expiring, Juventus are already working on an extension to strengthen their long-term relationship with Yildiz – the young talent.

The situation is far more uncertain for Dusan Vlahovic. Marchetti revealed that discussions between the striker and the club have stalled, meaning Vlahovic is set to enter the final six months of his contract, during which he would be free to negotiate with other clubs.

January Market: No New Striker, Perin’s Future Unclear

Marchetti also ruled out the arrival of a new striker during the January transfer window.

Speaking on Sky Calcio Club, he explained that Juventus are not currently considering attacking reinforcements, as the squad already includes two strikers and only one is being deployed under the current tactical system.

Additionally, Vlahovic is expected to return in February, further reducing the need for immediate intervention.

Finally, the Sky Sport journalist commented on the future of Mattia Perin. The goalkeeper could leave Juventus, with a potential return to Genoa on the table.

Genoa are actively searching for a first-choice goalkeeper, and Perin represents an attractive option.

While the player himself appears open to the move, Juventus remain cautious. In the meantime, the club have reportedly requested information on Mandas of Lazio as a possible alternative.
