Juventus are planning big moves in mercato

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus have already outlined their major priorities for the upcoming summer transfer window, and the midfield remains at the very top of the club’s agenda.

The Bianconeri are determined to make a statement in the middle of the pitch, targeting players capable of raising both the technical level and the identity of the squad.

Tonali, a dream linked to identity and timing

Among the main objectives, Sandro Tonali continues to stand out as a dream signing for Juventus. The Italian international is seen as a perfect fit for the club’s philosophy: intensity, leadership, tactical discipline, and a strong sense of belonging.

A key role in this potential operation could be played by technical director François Modesto, whose relationships with Tonali’s entourage are considered extremely positive.

Moreover, Tonali himself has never hidden his desire to return to Italy at some point in his career, a factor that keeps Juventus hopeful despite the obvious difficulties.

The biggest obstacle remains Newcastle. The Premier League club has no immediate intention of selling and continues to demand a very high fee. As already reported last summer, the Magpies’ valuation was around €70 million, and there are no signs of a significant drop.

Juventus are monitoring the situation closely, aware that such a deal would require favorable conditions and perfect timing.

Hjulmand, the Sporting wall and Juve’s patience

Alongside Tonali, Morten Hjulmand represents the other major target for Juventus’ midfield overhaul. The Danish midfielder, formerly of Lecce, has long been appreciated in Turin.

An agreement on personal terms was already reached last July, confirming the player’s willingness to join the Bianconeri project. However, Sporting Lisbon are proving to be an equally tough negotiator.

The Portuguese club have set a clear price: no less than €60 million for the midfielder’s transfer. Sporting consider Hjulmand a cornerstone of their squad and have no intention of offering discounts.

This firm stance forces Juventus to carefully evaluate their financial strategy and possible sales. What is certain, as highlighted by Corsport, is that Juventus’ midfield will be one of the hottest areas of the summer market.

Between ambition, long-term planning, and complex negotiations, the Bianconeri are preparing for decisive months that could shape both their present and future.
