Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu has sustained a minor injury to the tendon of the semimembranosus muscle in his right thigh. This was confirmed in the medical report following the injury he suffered during the match against Benfica on January 30.

Despite the setback, Kalulu is already focused on his recovery and return to the pitch. According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the French defender, who joined Juventus from AC Milan last summer, is expected to be available for Thiago Motta in early March potentially in time for the match against Hellas Verona.

Juventus’ visit to Sardinia brought not only on-field insights but also fresh injury concerns. During the match against Cagliari, Douglas Luiz experienced discomfort in his hamstring, prompting the club’s medical staff to assess the issue.

The Brazilian midfielder, a key figure in Thiago Motta’s system, felt muscle tightness that may require further medical evaluations in the coming days.

Starting tomorrow, Douglas Luiz will undergo tests to determine the extent of the issue and his recovery timeline. Thiago Motta addressed the situation, stating: “We made the decision together with him. Since there was no actual injury, just fatigue, we thought he could play. Unfortunately, he couldn’t finish the match, which is disappointing.”

Douglas Luiz isn’t the only concern for Juventus. Andrea Cambiaso also faced discomfort due to pubic overload. The versatile full-back played through the pain but eventually requested a substitution.

Fortunately for Juventus, Cambiaso’s condition isn’t alarming, and he won’t need further medical tests. His quick return to training is expected, bringing relief to Thiago Motta and the coaching staff raports Il Bianconero.
