Juventus are reportedly considering alternatives to Luciano Spalletti after their disappointing 3-0 defeat against Lazio, with Antonio Conte emerging as a potential candidate to take charge of the Bianconeri.
The heavy loss has increased the pressure on Spalletti, who has struggled to bring the consistency required for Juventus to challenge for the Serie A title.

The Italian coach admitted his surprise at the team’s performance and the lack of reaction following such a damaging result.
“I admit that I was extremely surprised by the team’s performance. I certainly did not expect such a heavy defeat or such a lack of response. In the coming days, I will speak with the players to understand exactly what is happening and identify the real problems. We must look each other in the eyes and react,” Spalletti said after the match.
The defeat represents Juventus’ second loss in seven Serie A games, leaving the Turin giants in seventh place, eight points behind league leaders Inter and Lazio.
With the team struggling to find consistency, questions are increasingly being raised about whether Spalletti can turn the situation around.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus’ management has already started compiling a shortlist of potential replacements, although dismissing Spalletti would not be straightforward.
Antonio Conte Emerges as a Leading Candidate
Antonio Conte is reportedly among the names attracting attention from Juventus. The 57-year-old is currently without a club and could be open to returning to Turin, where he knows the environment and expectations exceptionally well.
Conte’s previous experience with Juventus makes him an intriguing option should the club decide to make a managerial change. His winning mentality and demanding approach could appeal to a board seeking an immediate response from the squad.

However, he is not the only experienced coach reportedly being considered.
Deschamps, Pioli and Montella Also on Juventus’ Radar
According to the same report from Calciomercato, Didier Deschamps, Stefano Pioli and Vincenzo Montella are also among the potential candidates.
Deschamps, 58, is currently without a club after leaving his position as France national team coach following the most recent World Cup. His extensive experience at the highest level could make him an attractive alternative.
Pioli, 60, is another available option after parting ways with Fiorentina last November. Meanwhile, Montella, 52, has recently been dismissed from his position as head coach of Turkey, potentially opening the door to a return to club football.
Despite the growing speculation, Juventus would face financial complications if they decided to dismiss Spalletti, whose contract runs until 2028 and whose reported salary could reach €6 million per season.
For now, the club’s immediate priority is to find a solution to its disappointing performances. Nevertheless, the emergence of four potential replacements suggests that Juventus’ management may already be preparing for different scenarios if results fail to improve.
