According to reports from Il Tempo, AS Roma have proposed Artem Dovbyk to Juventus as a possible solution for their attacking needs.

The Ukrainian international striker, born in 1997, could be on his way out of the capital as Roma move closer to completing the signing of Giacomo Raspadori.

With their attacking department set to change, the Giallorossi appear open to offloading Dovbyk and have identified Juventus as a potential destination.

Juventus, for their part, are actively exploring options in the January transfer window. The Bianconeri are currently dealing with a significant shortage in attack following Dusan Vlahovic’s injury, while the performances of David and Openda have often fallen short of expectations.

As a result, sporting director and management are evaluating short-term reinforcements who could provide immediate depth and reliability in the final third.

Dovbyk, with his international experience and physical presence, fits the profile of a striker capable of offering an alternative solution.

Financial Obstacles and Market Strategy

Despite Roma’s willingness to discuss a deal, negotiations are expected to be far from straightforward. Juventus are approaching the winter window with caution and discipline, having no intention of making major financial investments mid-season.

Even if the club were to show interest in Dovbyk, their preference would be for a low-cost operation, possibly structured as a loan or a deal with limited upfront expenditure.

Roma, on the other hand, would ideally like to free up space in their squad and wage bill to finalize incoming transfers, but they are unlikely to accept conditions that significantly devalue the player.

This difference in strategy could represent a major obstacle in talks between the two clubs.
At this stage, the situation remains fluid. Juventus are continuing to monitor multiple profiles, keeping their options open while prioritizing economic sustainability.

Dovbyk’s future, meanwhile, appears increasingly uncertain, with Roma seemingly ready to listen to offers. Whether this proposed move develops into a concrete negotiation will largely depend on Juventus’ budget flexibility and Roma’s willingness to compromise, making it a storyline worth watching as the January window progresses.
