Chiesa – Juventus, the latest from Di Marzio

Federico Chiesa’s future is once again becoming a talking point on the transfer market, and this time Juventus have taken concrete steps to understand whether a return to Turin could be possible.

Speaking from the Sky Sport studios, transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio provided an in-depth update on the winger’s situation and the dynamics surrounding his name.

According to Di Marzio, over the past two transfer windows — both in January and during the summer — several Italian clubs had already tried to bring Chiesa back to Serie A.

Napoli and Roma, among others, made approaches, despite the player seeing very limited playing time last season. However, Chiesa was firm in his stance.

He repeatedly told his agent that he wanted to stay where he was, refusing even to hear which clubs were interested.

His priority at the time was continuity and proving himself, even though his minutes were extremely limited and he was rarely involved, often not even featuring consistently at Under-21 level.

Liverpool’s Stance and Juventus’ Move

This season, the situation has slightly changed. Chiesa has played more regularly, even if he is still far from being a guaranteed starter. Juventus have now entered the picture with initial inquiries, contacting his agent to explore the feasibility of a loan deal.

Unlike in the past, Chiesa did not close the door. He did not say no to the idea, a sign that the call from Juventus has had a real impact on him.

Liverpool, however, are taking a cautious position. The English club have not ruled out Chiesa’s departure outright, but they are not open to a simple loan move at this stage.

Their message is clear: they want to recover at least part of the investment made for the player. This suggests that any deal would likely require either an obligation to buy or a financially structured agreement.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the situation remains open and fluid. Juventus’ interest is genuine, Chiesa is listening for the first time, and Liverpool are carefully weighing their options. The coming weeks could prove decisive in shaping the next chapter of Federico Chiesa’s career.
