Juan Cabal‘s time at Juventus could already be approaching its conclusion after a difficult first season in Turin.

The Colombian defender arrived from Hellas Verona during the summer of 2024 in a deal worth €11 million, with an additional €2 million in potential bonuses.

Expectations were high when he joined the Bianconeri, but his progress was dramatically interrupted by a serious injury that kept him out for a long period.

After suffering a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee just months after completing his transfer, Cabal was unable to establish himself in the squad.

The lengthy rehabilitation process significantly affected both his development and his role within the team.

Now, with Luciano Spalletti reshaping Juventus’ squad ahead of the new campaign, the 25-year-old defender is reportedly no longer considered a key part of the club’s technical and tactical plans.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Cabal is expected to leave Juventus this summer, with the club willing to listen to suitable offers for the Colombian international, with 10M€ asking price.

Although several clubs across Europe have expressed interest in his situation, the most advanced and concrete option currently comes from Turkey.

Besiktas Leading the Race

As reported by Sky Sport Italia, Besiktas, now managed by Vincenzo Italiano, has emerged as the strongest candidate to sign Cabal.

The Turkish giants are believed to be closely monitoring the defender and could soon make a move to bring him to Istanbul.

Juventus would not stand in the way of a transfer, as the club is eager to generate funds that can be reinvested into new signings.

The Bianconeri remain one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market, working simultaneously on player arrivals and departures as Spalletti continues to build a squad capable of competing for major honors.

For Cabal, a move to Besiktas could represent the ideal opportunity to restart his career after an unfortunate spell in Italy.
