AC Milan remain firmly focused on restoring their status among Europe’s elite, continuing a long-term project designed to bring sustained success back to San Siro.

The Rossoneri have shown clear signs of progress this season, positioning themselves as a serious contender in Serie A.

Much of that momentum has been credited to Massimiliano Allegri, who has worked methodically to rebuild a competitive and balanced squad.

The Lombardy giants understand that returning to the summit requires patience, smart recruitment, and strategic investments.

Recent transfer windows have already delivered several high-quality additions, reinforcing the spine of the team. However, the club’s hierarchy is aware that further reinforcements will be necessary to close the gap with Europe’s top sides.

According to Calciomercato, Milan’s attention has now turned toward a familiar rival in search of two potentially decisive signings.

Weston McKennie and Federico Gatti on the Radar

As reported by Calciomercato, Milan are closely monitoring two players from Juventus. The first name under consideration is Weston McKennie, the dynamic 27-year-old American midfielder whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

With several clubs reportedly interested, Milan could attempt to seize the opportunity either through a cut-price deal or a potential free transfer should negotiations stall in Turin.

McKennie’s versatility, work rate, and experience in Serie A make him an attractive option for strengthening the midfield.

The second target presents a different scenario. Federico Gatti, also 27, remains under contract until 2030.

Any move for the Italian defender would therefore require formal negotiations with Juventus, with a potential transfer fee reportedly in the region of €25 million.

Gatti’s defensive solidity and familiarity with the league could offer Milan valuable depth and long-term stability at the back.

As Milan continue their strategic rebuild, these potential moves signal both ambition and careful planning.

Whether one or both deals materialize remains to be seen, but the Rossoneri’s intent is clear: strengthen intelligently, compete consistently, and reclaim their place at the top of Italian and European football.
