Liverpool are reportedly preparing an €80m (£67.1m) bid for Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz as speculation continues to mount over Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield.
The 32-year-old Egyptian forward showcased his brilliance once again in Liverpool’s 3-1 Premier League victory over Southampton, converting two penalties to inspire Arne Slot’s side to a comeback win.
With those goals, Salah reached yet another milestone, equaling the record for the most goal contributions (44) in a 38-game Premier League season. Additionally, he surpassed Gordon Hodgson to become Liverpool’s third-highest goalscorer of all time and matched Sergio Aguero’s tally of 184 Premier League goals.

Despite his stellar form, Salah’s long-term future remains in question as his contract nears its expiration at the end of the season.
While Liverpool continue negotiations with his representatives, the winger is free to engage in talks with foreign clubs regarding a pre-contract agreement.

Liverpool set to launch 80 million offer for Yildiz ?
Liverpool are making contingency plans should Salah depart, and according to TuttoJuve, Juventus’ rising star Yildiz has emerged as a potential successor. The Reds are reportedly keen to secure the services of the 19-year-old and are prepared to submit a formal €80m (£67.1m) bid.
Juventus, however, would prefer a figure closer to €100m (£83.9m) but may be willing to negotiate, given their solid working relationship with Liverpool—evidenced by last year’s transfer of Federico Chiesa to Anfield.
Who is Kenan Yildiz, Liverpool’s potential Salah replacment?
Born in Regensburg, Germany, Yildiz spent a decade in Bayern Munich’s academy before joining Juventus in 2022. He quickly progressed through the club’s Next Gen ranks and has since established himself as a key figure under head coach Thiago Motta.

The Turkish international has made 40 appearances across all competitions this season, though his output remains a work in progress, with six goals and four assists in the 2024-25 campaign—averaging a goal contribution every four games.
Despite not yet being a prolific scorer, Yildiz’s versatility makes him an appealing prospect. Comfortable on either wing or as a second striker, he offers tactical flexibility that could suit Slot’s system.
Already a key figure for Turkey, Yildiz played a crucial role in their run to the Euro 2024 quarter-finals, starting four matches during the tournament.
With Liverpool bracing for potential changes in their attacking setup, Yildiz represents a long-term investment who could fill the void if Salah decides to move on.
