Zhegrova future uncertain

Forza Juventus

Edon Zhegrova’s future at Juventus remains a topic of discussion, with uncertainty still surrounding the long-term role of the Kosovo international in Turin.

The 1999-born winger is widely appreciated for his technical ability and flair, but questions persist about his physical reliability and ability to maintain consistency across an entire season.

According to Calciomercato, these factors are currently shaping Juventus’ internal evaluations rather than any doubts about the player’s raw talent.

Juventus’ Stance on Zhegrova

Within the Bianconeri camp, Zhegrova’s skill set is not under debate. His speed, dribbling, and creativity make him a valuable option, especially in one-on-one situations and against compact defensive blocks.

However, Juventus’ main concern lies in his recurring physical issues, which have limited his availability and continuity in recent months. Despite this, the club does not appear ready to close the door on him.

As reported by Calciomercato, Juventus intend to continue betting on Zhegrova, believing that his qualities can still be an asset to the squad.

The former Lille winger is therefore expected to remain in Turin for the upcoming season, although he is unlikely to start the campaign as an undisputed first-choice player.

Instead, the club envisions a more gradual and carefully managed role for him, allowing his physical condition to improve without excessive pressure.

A Key Role Under Spalletti

Head coach Luciano Spalletti reportedly views Zhegrova as a useful and versatile player within his tactical system.

The Italian manager values his unpredictability and offensive dynamism, particularly as an impact option capable of changing the rhythm of a match.

That said, Spalletti’s trust is conditional: Zhegrova must demonstrate that he can reach and maintain an acceptable level of fitness.

A tailored summer preparation could prove decisive. Juventus’ medical and performance staff are expected to design a specific training program aimed at strengthening the winger physically and reducing injury risks.

If successful, this approach may allow Zhegrova to carve out a more prominent role over time. For now, as highlighted by Calciomercato, patience appears to be the keyword.

Juventus are willing to wait, convinced that a fully fit Zhegrova could still justify their confidence and become a valuable piece of the Bianconeri project moving forward.
