Once again, Khephren Thuram stepped up to resolve a complex situation for Juventus. The French midfielder has been in outstanding form, and after his spectacular goal against Empoli in the Coppa Italia, he found the net again against Verona.

His latest strike proved decisive, securing Juventus’ fourth-place spot and closing the gap to just six points behind the league leaders.

The 2001-born midfielder, who arrived from Nice last summer, has firmly established himself as a cornerstone of Juventus’ midfield. Despite facing some time on the bench earlier in the season, Thuram has climbed the ranks and is now an indispensable asset in Thiago Motta’s system.

His high-level performances are backed by impressive statistics. This is undoubtedly the best version of Thuram we’ve seen so far in his career, and in his first season in Turin, there’s a growing sense that he still has plenty of room to improve.

Record-Breking Khephren Thuram

Khephren Thuram’s season has been nothing short of exceptional. The French midfielder has already contributed seven goal involvements—three goals and four assists—setting a new personal record.

Previously, his best tally came in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons with Nice, where he managed six goal contributions.

With eleven matches still to play, the 22-year-old has a real opportunity to further boost his numbers, cementing his place among the top midfielders in Serie A in just his debut season.

How much did Juventus pay to sign Thuram?

Thuram was one of Juventus’ first summer signings, a player strongly desired by both sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and manager Thiago Motta to add quality and physicality to the midfield. So far, he has fully justified their investment with consistently top-tier performances.

Juventus paid €20 million to secure him from Nice, a fee that already looks like an outstanding investment given his impact on the team.
