Juventus vs Galatasaray | Expected Lineup

Galatasaray enter the second leg of their UEFA Champions League play-off tie with a commanding advantage after an emphatic 5–2 victory over Juventus.

The Turkish giants are now within touching distance of the last 16, a stage they have not reached since the 2013/14 season.

Their attacking strength has been a defining factor, with the team scoring three or more goals in five consecutive matches prior to this tie, demonstrating both confidence and clinical finishing in the final third.

However, Galatasaray remain cautious despite their strong position. Their recent 2–0 domestic defeat to Konyaspor exposed vulnerabilities, and their European away record offers further reason for restraint.

Historically, they have struggled on Italian soil, failing to win any of their previous 13 away matches against Italian opposition.

Recent European away performances also highlight inconsistency, with the team losing their last two such matches without scoring.

Juventus Face Uphill Battle but Seek Pride at Home

Juventus now face a daunting challenge. Overcoming a three-goal deficit in the UEFA Champions League knockout phase is rare, achieved by only a handful of teams in the competition’s history.

Their recent form provides little encouragement, with four defeats in their last five competitive matches and a disappointing home loss to Como adding to mounting pressure.

Despite their struggles, Juventus can draw some confidence from their recent home record in the Champions League. They are unbeaten in their last five home matches in the competition, winning three and keeping clean sheets in their two most recent victories.

While scoring three or more goals has been uncommon for them at home lately, individual players could prove decisive. Teun Koopmeiners, who scored twice in the first leg, has shown a knack for delivering in crucial moments, particularly in the first half.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray’s January signing Noa Lang has made an immediate impact, contributing two goals and an assist since joining. His ability to influence matches, especially after halftime, adds another dimension to Galatasaray’s already potent attack.

With momentum on their side but history urging caution, Galatasaray remain favorites, while Juventus must deliver an extraordinary performance to keep their European hopes alive.
