Juventus vs AS Roma | Expected Lineup

With several title contenders occupied elsewhere this weekend, Juventus and Roma have a valuable chance to make a statement in Serie A.

Both sides arrive in strong but contrasting form, setting the stage for a tightly contested encounter that could influence the race for European places and beyond.

Juventus moved into fifth place after edging Bologna 1–0 last weekend, extending an impressive recent run. The Turin side have won five of their last six competitive matches and have suffered just one defeat in their last 11 outings.

Despite that resurgence, they still trail the top four by four points, highlighting the importance of consistency as they try to recover from a slow start to the campaign.

Home advantage could prove decisive. Juventus are unbeaten at home in all competitions this season, winning six and drawing five, while also claiming victories against fellow top-four challengers.

They have also shown a habit of late drama, with nearly half of their home league goals coming after the 75th minute. However, goals have generally been scarce, as only two of their last eight home matches produced more than 2.5 goals.

Roma’s Narrow Wins and Away Confidence

Roma remain firmly in the title conversation after a 1–0 victory over Como, leaving them just three points behind the league leaders. Tight scorelines have defined their season, with ten of their 15 league matches ending 1–0.

While that includes a recent away defeat, Roma have been reliable on the road overall, losing just twice away in Serie A this campaign and winning the majority of their top-flight away fixtures in 2025.

Recent head-to-head meetings suggest another low-scoring affair, with four draws in the last six encounters and no match exceeding two goals. Roma have also struggled to score late away from home, contrasting with Juventus’ strong finishing ability.

Absences on both sides could play a role, but with disciplined defenses and fine margins likely to decide matters, this fixture promises tension rather than spectacle.
