Nicolás Tagliafico is back on Juventus’ radar ahead of the January transfer window, with the Argentine defender emerging as a potential target for the Bianconeri after a summer move to Turin failed to materialise.
Under Luciano Spalletti, the club are aiming to make further progress, with their performances in the league expected to provide a clear indication of how the project is developing.

However, the Bianconeri could still turn to the winter transfer market to address specific needs within the squad. According to reports from SportMediaset, Juventus are already exploring the possibility of bringing in another reinforcement, with Tagliafico once again featuring prominently in their plans.
Tagliafico Back on Juventus’ Shortlist
According to Tuttosport, the Argentine left-back has returned to the top of Juventus’ list of defensive targets. The experienced Olympique Lyonnais player was close to joining the Italian giants on September 1, but the deal ultimately collapsed after Juan Cabal suffered an injury, prompting the defender to remain in Turin.
Tagliafico subsequently came close to securing a move to Atlético Madrid during the closing hours of the transfer window, but that opportunity also failed to produce a transfer.
The 34-year-old has made two appearances for Lyon at the start of the current campaign, but speculation surrounding his future is growing once again.
January Move Could Finally Happen
Juventus could now revisit their interest when the winter transfer window opens in January 2027. The Bianconeri are continuing to assess their options as they look to strengthen the squad and provide Spalletti with additional solutions for the second half of the season.
Tagliafico’s previous links with Juventus, combined with the failed attempts to secure his signature during the summer, could put him back in the spotlight in the coming months.
For now, however, a move remains a possibility rather than a completed agreement. The coming weeks should provide a clearer picture of whether Juventus are prepared to make another attempt to bring the Argentine defender to Turin.
