Fabrizio Romano recently discussed the future of Davide Frattesi on his YouTube channel, shedding light on a transfer situation that remains open and complex.
The Italian midfielder continues to attract strong interest across Europe, with several clubs monitoring his situation closely as the transfer window approaches its decisive phase.

Galatasaray Talks and Inter’s Firm Position
According to Romano, discussions between Inter and Galatasaray regarding Frattesi were already well underway at the end of December. However, negotiations stalled in early January due to differences over the structure of the deal.
Inter were clear in their demands, seeking a guaranteed obligation to buy worth around €35 million. This obligation would have been triggered after a limited number of appearances, specifically four matches of at least 45 minutes each.
Galatasaray, on the other hand, pushed for a more complex and less automatic obligation to buy, creating a significant gap between the two clubs.
This disagreement caused the operation to freeze, and for now, that distance remains. Despite public statements suggesting otherwise, Romano confirmed that Galatasaray’s interest in Frattesi has not faded.
The Turkish club still values the player highly and could re-enter talks if conditions change before the market closes.

Interest from Italy and the Premier League
Beyond Galatasaray, Frattesi’s name continues to circulate among top clubs in Italy and England. Luciano Spalletti is known to be a long-time admirer of the midfielder, appreciating his energy, tactical intelligence, and goal-scoring ability from midfield.
However, at present, there is no concrete operation underway involving Spalletti, mainly because Inter are not open to a loan deal with an option to buy — a formula that does not meet their financial expectations.
Juventus have also been linked to Frattesi, but their stance remains unchanged. While there is interest, no formal negotiations have begun. Meanwhile, the Premier League remains a serious possibility.
English clubs are closely watching the situation and should not be underestimated, especially given their financial power and willingness to meet Inter’s conditions.

As Romano emphasized, Frattesi’s future is one to follow until the very final stages of the transfer window.
With multiple clubs involved and Inter standing firm, the next few weeks could prove decisive in determining where the midfielder will continue his career.
