Juventus have officially entered discussions with Manchester United regarding a possible summer transfer for Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund, per reports from Calciomercato.

The Italian giants are eager to bring the 22-year-old back to Serie A, just two years after his high-profile exit from Atalanta.

Despite a massive £72 million move to Old Trafford, Hojlund has struggled to justify the hype that once surrounded him.

With only four goals in 29 Premier League appearances this season, his underwhelming performance has placed him on United’s transfer list as the club looks to reshape its forward line.

Amorim eyes overhaul as Juventus circle Hojlund

New United manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly pushing for an attacking revamp after being left unconvinced by Hojlund’s output. United are open to letting the forward leave, provided the right offer arrives. Juventus see this as a prime opportunity to secure a long-term solution for their misfiring frontline.

The Bianconeri view Hojlund as a key piece in their rebuilding strategy, especially with current options underperforming.

Yet, prising him away from Manchester won’t be simple. United are holding out for a significant fee to fund their own ambitions. Particularly their pursuit of Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres.

In parallel, Juventus are also considering reigniting their interest in Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutch striker was previously on their radar, with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli reportedly having a verbal agreement in place with agent Kia Joorabchian.

However, Zirkzee’s situation has evolved since Amorim’s arrival in Manchester, complicating any potential move.

To accommodate new signings, Juventus may look to cash in on Dusan Vlahovic, who hasn’t fully convinced under Max Allegri.

There’s also growing uncertainty over Randal Kolo Muani’s future at the Allianz Stadium, potentially clearing the path for Hojlund’s integration.

With the summer window approaching, all eyes are on how quickly these negotiations evolve—and whether Juventus can bring the promising yet unsettled Dane back to Italian soil.
