Juventus takes concrete steps: David Hancko and Antonio Silva on the table

Published

on

Juventus has taken concrete and definitive steps to acquire David Hancko, a versatile defender born in ’97 from Feyenoord. He is Thiago Motta‘s preferred profile, and there is total approval from the player himself, to the point that a preliminary agreement has been reached with his agent for around €3M in salary per season, including bonuses.

Feyenoord would prefer not to let him go in January, but at the same time, they won’t hold back the former Fiorentina player, who would return to Serie A with great enthusiasm. Therefore, this operation is more aimed at the transfer window before the Club World Cup rather than the upcoming weeks, but we’ll see if there are any changes in direction.

Hancko is the left-footer needed while waiting for the full recovery of Bremer and Cabal; this decision is already made.

But attention: if Danilo, who is now at a low point in his relationship with Juventus and has a contract expiring in June, were to leave (to Napoli or elsewhere) by the end of January, it would be necessary to acquire two defenders aside from the Locatelli experiment, unless Hancko’s signing can be expedited. The idea of Antonio Silva is still on the table, provided that Benfica is genuinely open to negotiations.
