Juventus will definitely sign a defender, and regarding the second one, they will monitor the developments of offers for some players in their squad: especially Fagioli, who is Marseille’s primary target but also a desire for Napoli. The sale of Fagioli would provide cash flow and strength to pursue Hancko, who is Juventus’s top target with no reservations anymore.
Hancko has expressed a positive opinion about returning to Italy, so now it’s just a matter of finding the best agreement with Feyenoord: their request starts at 25 million plus bonuses, but the Dutch club does not want to sell him halfway through the year as they are still involved in significant European competitions.
Giuntoli needs time to finalize some sales; until then, he has to rely on a very limited budget that would be insufficient for a competitive purchase. For this reason, after recent contacts with Mendes in Turin, the scenario of Antonio Silva from Benfica is increasingly forming, based on a very high paid loan. The player is in a dispute with his club: Juventus might retain him in the future with a purchase next summer.
The basic condition for the winter transfer market is that Antonio Silva does not exclude Hancko: if they fail to finalize the deal for the second one, the operation would be postponed to next summer as originally planned: the former Fiorentina player is indeed considered the natural successor to Danilo.
